GAENOR C.

Hi Karen - Judy, Hilary and myself thoroughly enjoyed Sunday's visit to Ian William's stables and the Christmas Lunch.  Thank you for organising it so well.  I was very impressed by Ian's yard and appreciated the trouble they all took in making it an informative and enjoyable time.  Mark's contribution when looking at the horses was much appreciated.   The horses certainly looked very well.  The new three year old looked so exciting.  All in all it was so enjoyable and the club is a credit to you, Jenny, David and Mark.  Thank you and happy Christmas and prosporous New Year!

MIKE B.

I am very pleased to be joining the Racing Club for the 3rd year running. I must tell you that being a member of this Club is a most enjoyable experience. All stable visits, attendance at the racecourses when the horses are running and other events are always very well organised and great fun to attend. We have had great success with Aohna and Panther and I look forward to this continuing together with the new horses that have arrived (Felix already 2nd at Fontwell) and more to come!! I consider the Racing Club to be tremendous value for money and hope to be associated with it for a long time to come.

DEREK M.

Thank you for organising the afternoon at Huntingdon. It was great to see Aohna win the first race and for everybody to be in the winner's enclosure. I have watched my DVD of the race three times already and will certainly keep it close to hand for future reference. I am looking forward to the next opportunity to be at the races with the Club and particularly to Aohna' s next run.

Derek B.

What a good day we had at Huntingdon last Sunday. A comfortable box with a very good view of the racing, very pleasant company and to cap it all Aohna won by 4 lengths - what more could you ask for!

Karen & Phil Guest

Just a note to say how much we enjoyed our day at the BBQ and Sports Day on Saturday - you were all great hosts. We all had a great time and the food and drinks were wonderful.

J Smith and G Crofts

We really enjoyed our first excursion with the Racing Club. All the members and everyone at the stables made us very welcome. Thanks for great organisation and here's hoping that Desert Strike does the business at York. Look forward to meeting you all again soon. Thanks again.

M Smith

Thank you so much for another superb day at Newbury. I really enjoyed my day. Getting into the meeting free was obviously a bonus, as was the opportunity to go into the paddock and listen to the opinions of the jockey and trainer. I have, in the past belonged to another club, but I must say it was run much more as a business rather than the more joyful sharing of interests your blue and orange colours provide.

Please pass on my sincere thanks to Karen and Carole and all who put so much effort into making such days enjoyable. Again, many many thanks.

What a lovely day we all had at Newbury yesterday. Panther looked a picture in the parade ring, it was unfortunate the ground was against him in the race - nevermind, everyone went home safe and sound and that is the important thing. He is fit and sound and ready to race another day.

Thank you so much for arranging the box and making us all feel so welcome - it really is such a treat and Newbury is a lovely track.

Michael & Jackie W.

Hello All, just to let you know we had another great day with you at Newbury yesterday and enjoyed seeing you all again. We will look forward to seeing you next month - it was also nice to meet Emma for the first time.

DEREK B.

What a fantastic day we had at Lingfield yesterday. Although it was cold, the weather was kind to us. I missed a terrific hailstorm as I was in Ladbrokes watching a race from Wincanton. When I came out everyone had scattered and was seeking shelter. Before our race we met Choc Thornton & Noel from Alan King's yard, they were both very confident of Aohna's chances. The race was very exciting with Choc riding an excellent race to come through on the inside & win by a neck, although I think she had something to spare. We were all on Cloud Nine & retired to the Grandstand to celebrate the win.

Many thanks to Jenny, Mark & Karen for being such good hosts, let's hope it's the first of many winners.

Keith and Diane Raymond

As someone who has enjoyed racing for over 45 years in one form or another but has never been able to own a horse for financial reasons, when I was bought a membership to the Club as a Xmas present by my wife, Diane, you could not begin to believe how excited I was. My excitement increases every time I go racing now, or when I go on a stable tour, as being in a Club where all the Members are very friendly just adds to the enjoyment. But more than anything, to be able to talk to Mark, Karen and Jenny about racing is just top class and to be treated like a friend just adds to the enjoyment. All the people who run the Club deserve a special mention as they put in some serious hours but always have time for the Members. One final thing, can you please pass on my special thanks to Ian Williams and all his staff who made yesterday such a great day out, I can't wait for another.

It looks like Diane wont have any problems in thinking what to get me for the next few years for Xmas. I only want one thing - guess what it is????.
Many, many thanks

Since joining the Racing Club we have had several great racing days; picnics at Ascot & Goodwood, an intimate day with Frankie Dettori at Windsor, a box at Warwick....I keep thinking it can't get better and it just does. Jenny, Mark and Karen are wonderful hosts who really make you feel part of the family. Thoroughly recommended.

Keith Rogers says.........

Believe me it does get better. There is always something happening every month. I only joined October 2008 and have been to Alan King's stables at Barbury Castle, visited North Farm Stud to find out about HEROS and their work to rehabilitate ex-racehorses, went racing at Warwick to see Aohna's debut in a bumper, then it was a visit to the Equine Therapy Centre at Horsehay Farm, enjoyed superb hospitality in the Fred Winter Suite at the Berkshire Stand, Newbury to see Danetime Panther's first run over hurdles and on New Year's Day it was Cheltenham to see Aohna's promising run in the Listed bumper where I actually stood on the hallowed turf in the parade ring beforehand.

If you love racing, enjoy meeting people from all walks of life that share the same interest and are looking for something different at value for money then this is the Club for you. If Goldilocks were here she would no doubt say 'insofar as Racing Clubs go this one is not too cold, not too hot but is just right!

M & J White

I would like to thank you for a great day at Newbury races this week. It was the first time we have been out with the Racing Club as we have only just become Members and we were made to feel most welcome and were treated like friends. We both look forward to meeting you again in the near future.

M Smith

Thank you so much for such a delightful day at Newbury races. Rarely have I enjoyed myself so much, indeed it could not have come at a better time. I am looking forward to the next day out.

Barbara Robinson

Thank you all very much for a most enjoyable weekend. It was really lovely to be able to wander around Alan King's Stables on Saturday at our leisure, in a most relaxed and friendly atmosphere, talking to and making a fuss of all the horses in the stables and taking as many photographs as we wished. It was truly lovely to have a personal introduction to Aohna after already seeing her and other horses on the gallops. We then enjoyed a thoroughly good days racing at Newbury in the Owners & Trainers.

To top it all on Monday afternoon at Kempton we were allowed in the Owners & Trainers pre-parade and paddock to watch Danetime Panther followed by a very enjoyable afternoon's racing.

As a woman who is extremely interested but doesn't know too much about racing, I would like to say how pleasant it was to meet such nice and friendly people such as yourselves and other members. Here's to many more enjoyable occasions. Once again many thanks.

Derek B.

I would like to say what an enjoyable day we had at Kempton yesterday. The weather was beautiful apart from a tremendous hailstorm immediately after our race. It was good to meet Karen and Mark, they were excellent hosts and although our horse was unplaced, it didn't spoil the day. Thanks very much....

Michael and Pauline Kelly

Just a quick mail to say thanks for organising the day at Alan King's and Newbury races, Pauline and I really enjoyed ourselves - even without any winners! Alan King's yard was very impressive and it sounds like we are going to have some fun with Aohna, we have pencilled in 17th December into our diaries. It was good to meet with other Members, although we had not met them before they were a good bunch and we all mixed well. Look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Liz Day

Thank you very much for a lovely day out yesterday at Kempton, we really did enjoy it. Hoping to see you all again on Sunday.

Rebecca C.

After a couple of trips to the races to see Danetime Panther run and a fascinating visit to Alan King's yard, I cannot praise the team at JMPRC highly enough. The welcome from Karen, Carole, Jenny and Mark has been fantastic. Watching the horses, sharing a few drinks and chatting about racing - what better way to spend an afternoon?!!

Malcolm & Liz Burdock:

What a great day at Warwick, excellent food and drink, a relaxing afternoon with good company and great fun.

William and Janet Millar:

It was our first day out at Warwick with the Racing Club. We had a great day out, lovely food, a couple of winners and lots of drink!

Paul and Jean Abbott:

It was also our first day out at Warwick with the Racing Club. Excellent day, top food and some winners!

Roger and Ann Voysey:

Having owned a Cheltenham Gold Cup winner, I decided to join the Jenny and Mark Pitman Racing Club. We attended Royal Ascot when the Club launched with their first runner, Machinist, in the Wokingham Stakes. I have to say that I and my wife, Ann, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I can honestly say that it was one of the best days racing I have ever had. We felt so welcome and Karen, Carole, Mark and Jenny thoroughly looked after us. We enjoyed a fabulous picnic in the Owners & Trainers car park with plenty of champagne, wine and beverages. We are really looking forward to our next day out at Glorious Goodwood.

Nicky Rushman:

On a wet and distinctly unglorious day I set out for a days racing at Glorious Goodwood with JMPRC. I arrived at Goodwood somewhat cold but my soggy spirits were soon lifted with a glass of pink champagne and animated conversation as to the days possible winners. With one of the Club horses, Machinist, running in the Stewards' Cup there was an air of excitement during lunch. I had not seen Machinist before so was keen to meet him in the flesh!

The Club provided the gathering of a dozen or more members with a delicious three course lunch washed down with plenty of vino and then it was into the Richmond Enclosure to pick some winners from the paddock. Selecting the winners of the first and second race was a good start to the afternoon!

Machinist looked magnificent in the pre-parade ring and like the old pro that he is, he looked very much at home in the paddock among some top class horses. Our jockey rode a very good race with Machinist coming a very creditable 4th out of 27 horses. A loud cheer went up in the parade ring where we had been watching the race on the big screen. It was then over to the fourth place post to congratulate the horse and jockey and take some more photos.

We retired to the owners and trainers car park where JMPRC Members toasted Machinist with another few glasses of bubbly and finished off all the fabulous food set out under the waterproof gazebos - A great days racing.
